Robin's journey with us began in November 1998 as a building sub in Maintenance and Operations. By the 2004–05 school year, she stepped into the role of Athletic Secretary at Lake Shore High School and for more than 25 years, she has been the heart of our athletics office.
Robin is our go-to historian, able to recall athlete achievements, past staff, and the stories that shaped Lake Shore. She's the person who makes everything better just by being part of it.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of her retirement. Robin's last day with Lake Shore will be January 31st.
Colleague and supporter Jennifer Villasurda wrote, "Robin was my first friend at Lake Shore. She's incredibly kind, helpful, and always has the best advice. Her memory for former students and their stories is amazing, and she shows up for everyone—staff and students—often beyond work hours. She pours her heart into every event, pays attention to every detail, and remains humble through it all. Seeing her recognized in the High School Hall of Fame was so special. And she's hilarious! I'll miss laughing with her every day. I love and appreciate her more than she knows."
When reflecting on her favorite memories, she shared her love of cheer competitions and graduation.
"I am always in awe when cheerleaders take the mat," she said. "They are so talented."
And graduation? A true highlight. From her vantage point, she gets to see the entire production unfold—a masterpiece that fills her with pride for every graduate.
Please join us in thanking Robin for her dedication, passion, and decades of service & congratulations to Jen Villasurda on her new role as Athletic Secretary.
